How Do I Become A Foster Parent

To become a foster parent, you must be at least 21 years of age and have:

A demonstrated commitment to make a difference in someone's life

Reliable transportation

Reliable transportation

Valid Maryland Drivers License

A spare bedroom in your home

Complete 40 hours of pre-service training provided by the agency

Transitional support

Skill development, educational opportunities and support

Permanency planning
